PT. II

I watched her as she packed her bags, gathered her belongings, and removed every tangible item that represented our times together. She looked at me disgruntled and hurt. "Are you sure this is what you want?" she asked coyly.

"I've never been more sure about anything." I said boldly as I opened the door.

She looked me up and down before rolling her eyes. "I will wait for your call. As a matter of fact, I am beginning to get tired of moving in and out. I can give you your space if that is what you need, just let me leave a few of my things here."

I sighed. She was right. We always said goodbye and hello again. I always eventually let her come back. Each time I told myself this time it would be different and it never was. I rolled her suggestion over in my mind for a moment...then I saw her eyes.

She was skilled at deception, rebellion, lust, lies, and anarchy.

"No, you know what, I want you to leave. This isn't easy for me, I admit that, but all I can do is take it one moment at a time. Now, please, GO."

At that moment she walked towards the door defeated and powerless; and at that moment I said goodbye to my former self.
